About the artists:
Raquel Meyers (Cartagena, 1977) is a Spanish video artist, often using low-res graphics to create surreal imagery and eerie atmospheres. She has made video clips and VJ sets for many of the more prominent 8-bit musicians (Glomag, Bubblyfish, Goto80) and also worked with electro and noise acts such as Rubeck and Tubular Balls. Meyers was formerly part of Entter (2000-2007), and has worked with print design, installations, and websites. She is perhaps one of the more consistent pixel artists, although she is currently exploring other expressions to create confusion and delight.
Bram van der Poel dreamed as a kid to become a super-ninja-killer-assassin with special x-ray powers but instead he became a multimedia developer and designer. Fascinated by everything which has knobs on it he embraced the possibilities of digital art as soon he got his hands on an atari. Robots will invade your brain!
Aude François aka Auderoseselavy is a versatile and creative artist, who explores video, performance installation and drawing. Now working between Berlin and Paris, she studied Fine Art in Bologna (Italy) before moving to Paris to study new media. In collaboration with various musicians working on electronic, experimental and acoustic music, Aude is currently working on several video projects exploring the connections between video, music and performance. She regularly presents her work on occasion of international festivals around live video and performance.
Joshua Thurston-Milgrom has been in Berlin two years, working as a freelance jazz bassist and writer in order to support his own independent and collaborative artistic endeavors. Before that, he lived for twelve years in Chicago doing the same.
Pixelnoizz will be remixing existing animations from a hungarian fine artists with glitches, errors and datamosh. A/V performance 40 minutes.

CHAMBRE BLEUE / BLAUER RAUM
17.03.2010 - 27.03.2010
Mini studio mobil visit: Tuesday to Saturday / 14-20h
Shooting sessions: Tuesday to Friday / 17-20h
Saturday / 14-20h
(and on appointment)
"Chambre Bleue" is a participative/performative art project by Marie Petit.
"Chambre Bleue" tells, in 30 scenes, the story of a couple – X and Y – from the moment they first meet till they eventually break up.
The 30 scenes are first shot with professional actors, resulting in the master version of "Chambre Bleue" - the "Version 01".
The artist invites the audience to enhance this work, playing one (or more) of the 30 scenes in front of a video camera.
Shooting sessions with a live audience are scheduled and take place in a traveling recording studio (the Mini Studio Mobil).
The audience is informed of the different locations of the studio, as well as the shooting schedule.
The recorded scenes are then uploaded on-line on the website of the project and made available through an interactive video player. The new versions of the recorded scenes are added to the “ Version 01” daily.
The video interface on the website allows to combine, for any given scene, actors shot in different versions of the same scene, resulting in an infinite number of versions of the story, reflecting the ever-changing couple dynamics.
The project is currently developed in two languages – French and German – and can include audiences of different national or cultural backgrounds. Translation of the script in additional languages is planned but not yet in the works.
FADING TO WHITE - Thomas Olivier Myers
12.02.2010 - 13.03.2010
His art photo work stems from the wish to show the passage of time by movement and overlapping images rather than by freezing a moment in a single frame.
Influenced by the works of photographers such as Bernd and Hilla Becher, Andreas Gursky, Thomas Struth, or Massimo Vitali, this interest in the passage of time as shown in photography has rapidly become the leitmotif of his art practice. Unlike Eadweard J. Muybridge who decomposes time and movement into several photos, he combines them into a single image composed of many superimposed pictures. Whatever one is looking at, it takes time to appreciate the full complexity of what is before us. Any land or cityscape, even devoid of life, keeps changing as the hours pass by. Nothing is static. Light keeps changing and modifying the view offered to us. This is why a single photo after a while seemed insufficient in rendering this idea. His artistic concept has thus evolved around a few simple experimental considerations.

FRAMESHIFT - Robert Schwartz
21.11.2009 - 16.01.2010
Robert Schwartz of the design collective ViaGrafik is showing a series of new sculptures and installation works as well as a collection of photographs.
In his work for systM he transformed plain frames and shapes into 3-dimensional objects that are interfering with wall and space.
“I love the excitement of deconstructivism and the process of puzzling. My intension is to turn industrial plastic, a flat and amorphous material, into three dimensional reliefs. All objects consist of many parts that are interwoven with each other. The graphical elements correspond to their surroundings but at the same time disturb the linear conditons of any room.”
